The Salazones Diego factory and shop is located on the border between San Pedro del Pinatar and San Javier, in the province of Murcia. It is a company dedicated to the production of salted fish since 1939 from the best raw materials with a careful artisan process.
The complex consists of two semi-detached buildings with a rectangular floor plan and a total surface area of around 3200m2, which house offices, a production hall and a shop. The intervention consists, on the one hand, of reforming the external image of the complex to give it a modern look, without losing its factory feel, and, on the other hand, to create a gourmet shop with a nod to 19th century grocery stores.

The complex consists of two semi-detached buildings with a rectangular floor plan and a total surface area of around 3200m2, which house offices, a production hall and a shop. The intervention consists, on the one hand, of reforming the external image of the complex to give it a modern look, without losing its factory feel, and, on the other hand, to create a gourmet shop with a nod to 19th century grocery stores.
This idea is faithfully respected on the outside, using mini-wave sheet metal, wood panelling and gridded stained glass windows, and on the inside, stone-effect cladding and completely custom-designed furniture in natural wood, marble and wrought iron.
The indirect lighting that bathes the shelves, the hanging spotlights that illuminate the displays, and the grooved natural oak wood panels that are suspended over the spaces, all serve to organise a whole that envelops us in a warm and welcoming environment without losing the essence of 19th century commerce.
In short, a space has been created that corresponds to the product that is created in it and as such must be unique, traditional and timeless.
